Global Health Security Agenda Ministerial
  • The Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA) is a group of 70+ countries (including Canada and the US), international organizations, non-government organizations, and private sector companies that come together to create a world that is more equipped to handle infectious diseases that pose a threat to global health.
  • The GHSA is governed by a Steering Group comprised of permanent and rotating members and is funded by the United States.
  • The Permanent Steering Group for 2019-2023 includes the United States, Indonesia, Italy, Kenya, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Republic of Korea, Senegal, Thailand, and some other organizations.
  • The Rotating Steering Group Members for 2019-2021 includes Canada, Argentina, Australia, Finland, Netherlands, Pakistan and the World Bank.
  • This is the Official Report from the 6th GHSA Ministerial Meeting held on November 18-20, 2020 in Thailand.
  • The GHSA has a 2024 target to expand their efforts to include 100+ countries who have completed a country-specific evaluation to identify and address the gaps in their health security capacity.
