The Federal Pathway

This is the Canadian government's page on the creation of the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and 2SLGBTQQIA+ National Action Plan.
The federal pathway is a part of the national action plan, but is centered around the National Family and Survivor Circle, which was co-developed by members of First Nations, Inuit Métis, and Indigenous grass roots organizations, Indigenous provincial and territorial governments, and Indigenous urban and 2SLGBTQQIA+ leaders.
This federal pathway is the Government of Canada's contribution to the National Action Plan and outlines the federal approach to ending this violence.

The Final Report of the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls

In 2016, the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls was launched to analyze the disproportionate rates of violence, murder, and sexual abuse faced by Indigenous women and girls in Canada.
While this inquiry began in 2016 and was finally published in 2019, well after the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada (which was active from 2008-2015) demanded an inquiry into missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls in their 41st call to action of their final report.
