The Report of the Royal Commission on Aboriginal Peoples
  • This is the original Report of the Royal Commission on Aboriginal Peoples, which was made in 1996 and provides thorough research and suggestions on how to improve the relationship between Indigenous peoples, non-Indigenous peoples, and the Government.
  • While this report was made to provide a 20-year agenda for improving the lives of Indigenous peoples and for revising how Indigenous claims should be handled, many of these proposed solutions/promises were never implemented.
  • This report includes four sections titled, Looking Forward, Looking Back, Restructuring the Relationship, Gathering Strength, Perspectives and Realities, and Renewal: A Twenty-Year Commitment
