Operation Yellow Ribbon
- Operation Yellow Ribbon was the official name of the coordinated effort of the Canadian Government to divert civilian airline flights in response to the September 11, 2001 attacks on the United States.
- The goal of this operation was to ensure that potentially harmful air traffic be removed from the US airspace and to divert it away from potential US targets and they did so by grounding the aircrafts at military and civilian airports across Canada.
- This resource gives a detailed account of how Canada handled the diversion of planes on 9/11.
