Bill C-4
- Part one of this bill enacts the Canada Recovery Benefits Act, which allows for the authorization of payments for the Canada recovery benefit, sickness benefit, and caregiving benefit, in order to support the recovery of the economy.
- Part two amends the Canada Labour Code, which allows flexibility for an employee leaving work, and the duration in which they do so, due to COVID-19. Additionally, this amends parts of the COVID-19 Emergency Response Act to allow for extended COVID-19 employment leave until September 25, 2021.
- The third part amends the Public Health Events of National Concern Payments Act to limit payments made out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund.
