Canada-US Cross-Border Crime Forum
  • The Canada-US Cross Border Crime Forum (CBCF) is a joint Ministerial forum hosted by Public Safety Canada, Justice Canada, the US Department of Justice, and the US Department of Homeland Security.
  • This forum brings together senior law enforcement and justice officials (this typically comprises of the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the US Attorney General, and the Ministers of Public Safety Canada and Justice Canada) from various Canadian and American organizations to address transnational crime issues and to collaborate upon dispute resolution mechanisms for law enforcement and justice officials who work on cross-border crime issues.
  • In March 2022, as part of the Roadmap for a Renewed US-Canada Partnership, the Attorney General of the United States, the US Secretary of Homeland Security, Canada's Minister of Justice and Attorney General, and the Canadian Minister of Public Safety met in Washington to re-establish and enhance the Cross-Border Crime Forum and efforts to counter cross-border crime between the two nations.
