The Quebec Human Rights Commission
  • The Quebec Human Rights Commission was established under the Quebec Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms in 1976.
  • The Commission is an independent body from the government and remains accountable to citizens to uphold the right set out in the Charter.
  • The Commission's mission is to inform the public of their rights, undergo investigations of discrimination and exploitation cases, make recommendations to the government of Quebec, engage in research, act as an advisory service, monitor applications of equal access to employment programs, and cooperate with other human rights organizations. 
  • The Commission receives complaints, investigates human rights violations, and helps citizens fight for their rights at the Human Rights Tribunal.
