National Emergency Response System
- The National Emergency Response System is meant to provide the federal, provincial, and territorial government with a coordinated system to address an emergency.
- This emergency response system contains the following components: connections between all levels of government during an emergency, the responsibilities of each level of government, the mechanism to accelerate decision-making in an emergency, standardized terminology to allow for effective communication, and the ways provinces/territories can seek federal assistance during an emergency.
