Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada
  • This is the official page for the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada (TRC), which was established with the Indian Residential Schools Settlement Agreement with the aim to encourage reconciliation between those impacted by residential schools and the rest of Canada.
  • The Canadian government invested over $72 million into the TRC and has engaged with communities, hosted events, and educated people across the country about the history of residential schools.
  • In 2015, the commission concluded with final report, which included 94 calls to action for furthering the reconciliation process.
