North American Leaders' Summit
  • Between August 20th and 21st, 2007, Prime Minister Stephen Harper hosted a North American Leaders' Summit in Montebello, Quebec with U.S. President, George W. Bush and the President of Mexico, Felipe Calderón.
  • During this summit, the three leaders issued a joint statement outlining the progress of the SPP (the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America initiative launched in March 2005 for increased information sharing to enhance security and prosperity in North America), and they discussed other domestic and global issues of concern to the three countries.
