North American Leaders' Summit 2021
  • In November 2021, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau met with US President Joe Biden and Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador in Washington D.C. for a two-day Leaders' Summit.
  • This was the first North American Leaders' Summit since 2016 and the three leaders engaged in a series of bilateral and trilateral meetings regarding COVID-19 response, vaccines, climate action, economic recovery, North American supply chains, among other policy issues.
  • President Biden and Prime Minister Trudeau also got the chance to meet and discuss the progress on the Roadmap for a Renewed Canada-US Partnership, the enhancement of the Canada-US supply chain (through a supply chain working group), an Indo-Pacific dialogue, and for their renewed vision of joint border management.
