Ontario Human Rights Code, 1990
- This is the most current Ontario Human Rights Code (1990), which is current to November 29, 2021.
- This Code "prohibits actions that discriminate against people based on protected grounds in the protected social areas".
- The protected grounds include: age, ancestry, colour, race, citizenship, ethnic origin, place of origin, creed, disability, family status, marital status (including single status), gender identity, gender expression, receipt of public assistance (in housing only), record of offences (in employment only), sex (including pregnancy and breastfeeding), and sexual orientation.
- The protected social areas include: accommodation (housing), contracts, employment, goods/services/facilities, membership in unions, trade or professional associations.
