Fair Accommodation Practices Act
  • Following the implementation of Ontario's Fair Employment Practices Act of 1951 and the Female Employees Fair Remuneration Act of 1951, the Government of Ontario introduced the Fair Accommodation Practices Act, which alongside the Fair Employment Practices Act set an example that other provinces would soon follow.
  • The Fair Accommodation Practices Act was created to prohibit discrimination when citizens are obtaining services, in facilities and accommodations, and in public spaces.
