This page is dedicated to the Special Advisory Committee (SAC) on COVID-19, which was established to ensure an effective pan-Canadian response across all levels of government in the event of a public health emergency.
This committee was developed in January of 2020 in order to help advise the decision-making process of Federal, Provincial, and Territorial Health Ministers throughout COVID-19.
This Multi-Lateral Information Sharing Agreement was a document signed by the federal, provincial, and territorial ministers of health to ensure data is shared across all levels of government.
In the case of COVID-19, this agreement was vital to centralize data collection, which improves the pandemic surveillance in order to manage the outbreak.
