Looking at COVID-19 in the Arctic, this article looks at the response by the federal government in the Arctic, and compares the response and outcomes to tuberculosis in the North.
It suggests that the results in the North reflect that of TB because of social factors including, but not limited to, poverty, poor housing, and health inequalities.
This paper gives a historical background on healthcare in Northern Canada. It discusses various rates of diseases such as cancer in Inuit people and describes how these patterns can be used to track certain causes of disease and how the North can use this information to move forward to improve their healthcare system.
