Welcome to the 2023–24 Public Policy & Governance Case Competition. The case competition is a collaboration between the PGOV Program and the Brian Mulroney Institute of Government.
Working in teams of three, participants will prepare a mock policy submission—a Memorandum to Cabinet (MC)—on a topical policy issue. The specific MC question will be released directly to registered teams in November 2023.
An orientation meeting will be held in September 2023. The process for the competition and the formatting for the MC will be explained at the orientation meeting.
Final submissions are due on Friday, 2 February 2024.
All submissions will be evaluated by a panel of judges, and the top three teams will be awarded cash prizes, along with a place on the Public Policy Case Competition plaque in Mulroney Hall.
PRIZES (per team):
- First place: $700
- Second place: $500
- Third place: $300
