The Auto Pact
  • The Canada-US Automotive Products Agreement, otherwise known as the Auto Pact or APTA was signed in 1965 by Canadian Prime Minister Lester B. Pearson and US President Lyndon B. Johnson.
  • This agreement marked a new era between Canada and the US with regards to their trading relationship and essentially allowed the automotive industries of both countries to come together in the greater North American market.
